These are really quite brilliant in their simplicity. These nifty little cord keepers are made of a stretchy silicone that is slotted in the middle. The slot is so that you can thread the end of the cord thru which attaches the two and since the Cloop is silicone it will not easily slide off and also because it is stretchy the Cloop can be wrapped securely around a coiled up cord. The two magnetic ends of the Cloop are encased in silicone this will help avoid rust and the magnetic closures are very snug. These are really ideal for organizing skinny little cords like earbuds and phone chargers.
It's also pretty cool that there are six to a package and that there are three different colors which makes it easy to color code your cords as well. The magnetic base is really an optional bonus. It comes with an adhesive back so you can attach it to a wall, desk, etc. to help keep things close. I absolutely love these little gadgets. I also have the set of six small ones. This set of 3 small and 3 large comes with a small, nice looking mettal bar with an adhesive strip so that you can attach it where convenient and store the Cloops on it when not in use. I store my cloops by sticking to something metalic with a high iron content - like my frig and my file cabinet. And I have now learned that if you need a slightly larger Cloop, you can stick two of them together as I did when I wanted to bundle up a power cord to keep it off the floor. The magnets are really strong even though they are small. I am loving using these as frig magnets too to post nots on my frig or magnetic message board.
